McKinley Families,

To increase access to no-cost, at-home COVID-19 antigen tests, the State of California has provided COVID-19 test kits for students enrolled in CNUSD. The test kits are now available for pick up by parent or guardian. . One test kit is available per student.

Tests will be available to pick up from the front office on Friday, January 7th between the hours of 8am and 3pm.

We will also be doing a drive through distribution on Saturday, January 8th between the hours of 9am and 1pm.

When you receive the student test kit, click here for a COVID-19 Test Kit How-To Guide and registration information. Once you have completed registration and submitted the results, they will be shared directly with the State of California and the California Department of Public Health.

While there is no statewide requirement to have a documented negative test prior to returning to school, we strongly encourage families to get tested. These tests will allow us to proactively quarantine positive student cases and greatly support our primary goal of maintaining in-person classroom instruction. According to CDPH guidelines, classes that have too many positive cases must revert to virtual instruction.

Please note: if your child receives a positive COVID-19 test result, they must stay at home and communicate the results with the school site.

Thank you for supporting us in helping our school community to remain healthy and safe.
